The Project co-financed by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union, had its training Seminar for facilitators in Ilhéus from 10-17 September 2017, with the participation of young people from 8 countries: Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Italy, Turkey, Finland and Spain. 23 young people aged 18-32 years old were participating.
The next step will be the Exchange in Milan – Italy for Europeans and in December the young Latin Americans will exchange in Lima – Peru.
According to Maria Morais, Cooperbom Turismo, the Brazilian partner, “the project inspires local youth to work on tourism with a vision of social business, generating employment and income for the community and development of the local economy”.
The project in Ilhéus was supported by the Department of Tourism of the Municipality, with the presence of Secretary Roberto Lobão and Mayor Mario Alexandre at a lunch offered to the group. Also supportive were ATIL – Ilhéus Tourism Association, Cacao Coast Convention Buereau, and Eco Village Indaiá. The Project was widely
disseminated, with an interview on local TV and Radio Gabriela FM.
The international coordinator of SEEDS 2 Tommaso Pesceto and the national coordinator Maria Morais, in an interview, stressed the importance of stakeholders (supporters) in disseminating the project at the local level.
Maria Morais, also pointed out that “carrying out Seeds2 training seminar in Ilhéus in Brazil was extremely important for the visibility of the project, contributing greatly to the approximation of stakeholders and young people interested in develop a voluntary action and entrepreneurship generating positive impact in the community”.
Welcome parcipants of SEEDS2 and that new projects will contribute to the social development of our community, bringing opportunities for our young people.
