I am Cansu, I am from Turkey. I am a stakeholder and I represent Turkish WIN (Turkish Women International Network) in SEEDS2. First of all, I want to say that I had many questions in my mind about SEEDS2 project, where I will go, what kind of people will be there and what I should do during the seminar and before coming there. Because I lacked information about the project and I was invited to the project 2 days before the beginning of the project.
However, at the end of the project I felt different, I felt like a new person. I had many expectations before the project. I am really interested in social entrepreneurship and I want to do something in this field, so this project was really important for me, it helped me improve and shape my thoughts. My expectations were to learn more information about social entrepreneurship and to understand what is the process, necessities and situation in different countries. I also wanted to meet different people with a new culture.
At the end of the project all my expectations were realized. I am really satisfied with this seminar and I learnt a lot of things about social entrepreneurship, EVS, situation of social entrepreneurship in different countries, differences among formal, non-formal and informal education, about different cultures and traditional things, and details of SEEDS2. I believe that when people interact with each other and share their experiences, they can improve themselves, shape their ideas easily and act fast. We succeeded in it, we shared our experiences, values and thoughts with all the participants and improved our points of view and also inspired each other.
The most significant moment of my experience during the seminar was when we did an activity to engage each other, this way I met Camilla and we are both industrial engineers, we have the same values and dreams. I was really shocked because we live in different countries which are really far from each other, and we both have the same background, the same ideas, and also the same dream. It was a really important and meaningful moment for me. I understood that I am not alone, there are many people who want to change, improve something and leave a mark on people’s lives. As a result, it was an amazing week with awesome people. Energy was always high among the participants and everybody went along with each other. I improved myself, learnt group work and many other things. Thank you for everything and for having an opportunity to attend the seminar as a stakeholder.
