At the beginning of June, I started one of the most ambitious projects on the personal level until then: a collaboration for Training Courses in Spain and Peru, in which collaborated four European countries (Spain, Italy, Finland and Turkey) ) and four Latin countries (Mexico, Peru, Brazil and Argentina). From the mentioned countries, we included three people: a coordinator (Rocío de AJ Intercambia), a Youth Leader (myself) and a Stake Holder (Edu who at the end was not able to attend and whom I replaced as an AIESEC representative). The coordinators days before started working and the YL and SH joined us to work on Social Entreprenuership during 5 intense days and to prepare the basis of the project.
The idea was to bring together three different visions about what young people need to be able to adjust to the social reality.
Those were some very intense days as I said, I have never had an opportunity to be an active part of the creation of the project and, although it is the second version of SEEDS (Social Economy), the idea is to change a lot of things in comparison to the previous one. Surely the project will be a part of each of us in our lives. The first days we laid the basis of the Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship through cooperative activities and a game that it has been developed in Turkey and it is very similar to the trivial pursuit but it works by drawing conclusions like the “Model Model”in order to simplify very much the ideas, working them by individual sections to finally have a general image.
Half of the project was carried out in a lovely rural town in the middle of the countryside (Sassello) where we worked on the team building and the bases. The other half was carried out in Genova, where we really shaped the project, visited a social start-up of food and including the last intense day when we gave the best of us. The experience of living with people from so many different countries, listening and learning of their experiences and knowledge has been something really impacting and that is what everyone should have the opportunity to live.
Without a doubt, I will recommend the application for SEEEDS 2 again and again!
As I commented on my arrival in Malaga: It’s not about a workshop. It’s not about a course. It’s an inspiration that young people need to undertake. Those are the creative methods that support. Those are the skills and techniques that develop you as an entrepreneur and as a person. It’s an international cooperation. It’s creating social initiatives that can help your community. It’s focusing on that idea that you have in mind It’s acting. It’s for you.
